I hope I encourage you to be better.

Wow. It's been a while. Sorry I've been MIA lately. A lot has been going on, from me getting a concussion to Jason twisting his ankle, I've been all over the place. With all this time on my hands, I've been thinking about a lot. About my health, fitness goals, and family. Recently, after a week of tracking, I have gained one pound BUT I have lost 4 inches overall (actually it's more considering I didn't measure my other thigh or arm.) If you are a friend on Facebook, you know that I post about my exercises quite a bit. And I'm sure a lot of you see I am not a skinny mini. I may never be. In fact, I don't want to be.

I work out to get fit. Sure, losing weight is always a bonus, but like I've said before, I'm way more into losing inches. I work out because it gives me energy, LOTS of energy that I then put into cleaning or caring for my family. As a stay-at-home mom, I can never have too much energy. Working out gives me that time alone where I can focus on just myself.

I hope when you see my posts, you want to work out too. I hope when you see my accomplishments you think that could be you, because it could be! I hope I encourage others to try harder or go that extra mile. I hope you see my posts and see that I'm trying hard and it's not just for me, it's for my husband and daughter too.

Jason and I have talked about ditching the stationary bike and getting bikes so we can go riding together. As sad as I am about getting rid of my bike, I want to be THAT family. The family who is never home because we're too busy out doing activities. The family who goes to Big 5 together, stays together. Lmao. But really. I DON'T want to be that family that rarely does anything and we all bond by sitting around watching TV. Sure, Kara and I watch My Little Pony or Tangled together, but we also play and read and she helps me bake (by stirring the batter.)

I just, I want to encourage others to try harder. Creating a work out routine isn't always easy. It takes a bit to stop a habit. You must WANT to break it. For a long time, I never exercised. Yup, didn't want to. Then, I created my routine and now if I don't work out, I feel like I'm missing something. Just try and try and try. You'll get there. For the first week or so, I slacked bad! Then I just kept going at it, and trying to eat better. And now I feel great!

So, I hope you all enjoyed reading this. I really want to encourage others to do better, and be better. You CAN reach your goals ad you CAN have the body you always wanted. I'm working towards it, and it's all paying off!

I also recently got an Instagram, make sure to follow lydialovey22 for some updates on my family and updates on my fitness goals (and also for some neat pictures of Mount Rainier here soon!)
